Romanian open international championship dog show – 2006
THE KENNEL CLUB OF LEBANON has been invited to the big evening party at the WOK WOK Restaurant of the PHOENICIA hotel to celebrate the Chinese New Year & 2006 THE YEAR OF THE DOG (chinese calendar)
A mini dog show took place in a cheerful very friendly atmosphere while the images of our last September DOG SHOW was projected on a big screen the whole night

The 15/12/2004 an article “Quand le cadeau est un être vivant” written by Miss Suzanne Baaklini appeared in the L’Orient Le Jou. It concerned the animals we give as gifts and mainly dogs. As all the informations about dogs lebanese pedigrees were not complete. Helene Malek, President of the KENNEL CLUB OF LEBANON wrote to Miss Baaklini on the 16/12/2004 to congratulate her for her article and add the needed information. A great part of the president’s letter that you will read below appeared in the L’Orient Le Jour. We hope that these important explanations will be of help to all dogs lovers and pure dogs owners.

• Lets inaugurate the:
Advise Corner : by a very important letter to all dogs lovers, breeders & owners of pure bred dogs:
ADVISES TO FOLLOW WELL; THE KENNEL CLUB OF LEBANON REGULATIONS:
• When you buy a dog from abroad – ask for an export pedigree on your name from the breeder or pet shop where you bought the dog. Be sure that the pedigree of the dog is issued by the Kennel Club of the country.
• When you come to Lebanon register your dog immediately at the Kennel Club of Lebanon. The dog being then a dog living in Lebanon has to get a Kennel Club of Lebanon pedigree to pass it to his or her children.
• When you buy a dog from Lebanon ask for a KENNEL CLUB OF LEBANON’S PEDIGREE.
• When you want to mate your female dog called bitch you have to inform the KENNEL CLUB OF LEBANON of the name of the Stud Dog for their O.K.
• When the female has to be laid the KCL has to be informed and send one person of their team to be present at the mating (saillie). A KCL form for mating has to be filled by the owner of the female & sent maximum 4 weeks later to the KCL.
• When the litter is born another KCL form called birth declaration ( declaration de naissance) has to be filled & returned to the KCL 15 days latest after the birth of the litter.
• A KCL breeder having a KCL registered affix has to cover yearly a KCL fee called an affix maintenance fee .
